by KindleGen, Amazon's eBook compiler, it contains both a KF8 version of the book and a MOBI7 version of the book.
The best way to handle these differences is with a special construction in the CSS file which will be used
by KindleGen to make the needed changes in the file.
Once the file is converted
by the KindleGen, the same should be dragged and dropped into the Previewer to preview and ensure if the format is done well, as required.
Moreover, it is the Kindle Previewer that helps you to view the file formatted
by the KindleGen.
It is highly recommended that automatic optimization
by KindleGen be avoided in case of images containing text.

I do not recommend uploading the Word doc for publication, but using an HTM or mobi file created
by KindleGen — you can do this by saving the word file to HTM, and then zipping both the HTM page and the images folder created (as a ZIP) file and uploading that.
