by the NYFW February 2018.
So when the team from The Stylisted swung
by an NYFW pre-party hosted by Krista for hair and makeup, I figured: no time like the present (which is my grownup way of saying YOLO).
YES, someone who gets me!!!! As a native New Yorker, I always get a side eye when I say I don't absolutely love and feel inspired
by NYFW.
Feeling freshly inspired
by NYFW and LFW, I have thoughtfully pulled some new pieces from Marks & Spencer into my wardrobe for Fall.

The weather here gets wild, and unfortunately every time
NYFW rolls around in February, temperatures drop
by 30 - 40 degrees just for the week.
Even though I was in New York for just 3 days that flew
by, in between shows and meetings but still had a fabulous time at
NYFW.
Inspired
by Zimmerman's sweet, floral, flowy collection presented at
NYFW a few days ago, I decided to wear this dress.

A big aspect of attending
NYFW is getting your photo taken
by the street style photographers and ending up in the
NYFW street style roundup articles.
I decided to mix up the look
by pairing it with my cousins New Balance shoes that she let me borrow for
NYFW.
Even I did
NYFW once
by myself, but it is more fan when you have someone with you.
Prior to
NYFW I ran
by Tootsies on a mission to find a statement piece for my trip.
Of all the outfits I packed for
NYFW, this outfit was
by far the most practical for February in NYC.
I also like adding contrast
by combining different textures in my outfit... anyone remember my Pink, Patent + Lace outfit from last
NYFW?!
Here are three rules I go
by for any fashion related event, especially
NYFW:
This look was from the third day of
NYFW, but I'm sharing it with you first because I love the way this look came together and also because the floral dress I'm wearing (that doubles as an open cardigan
by the way) is almost sold out and only has a few sizes left!
I love Lafayette 148 — I wore this amazing silver metallic leather skirt
by them for
NYFW last September.
I like fashion, but I live in the suburbs, so I'd feel a bit ridiculous stopping
by the coffee shop or dropping off my kids at school looking like I'm walking down the street during
NYFW or something.
When I was at
NYFW last month I was totally inspired
by a hair trend that I noticed backstage at all the shows — modern braids!

Though I have not yet personally been to
NYFW, I celebrate every year
by stalking my fave bloggers Instagram feeds, perusing online stores to binge shop and
by playing dress up.
At the venue, Skylight Clarkson Square, there were a few areas sponsored

NYFW.

I decided to level up my look
by rocking matching heels, a touch of burgundy and
by adding fur stole like I did for my
NYFW outfit.
For the last day of
NYFW I attended a runway show that was sponsored
by the American Heart Association.
These studs, along with much of the fall / winter 2013 collection, were inspired
by a project we collaborated on together for
NYFW 2012.

I stopped
by Timberlands Style Lounge during
NYFW for some food, refreshments and to check out what's new.
