Shenmue III with a goal of $ 2 - million.
Influenced
by club music of that time, this soundtrack from renowned composer Yuzo Koshiro (Ys, ActRaiser,
Shenmue...) remains a timeless classic which quality was rarely topped.
Having only been live for just under twelve hours since its initial surprise announcement
by series writer and director Yu Suzuki during Sony's E3 press conference,

by our contemporary standards,
Shenmue and Final Fantasy VII were clunky and often unintuitive.
The Final Fantasy VII remake trailer gave me goosebumps and I'm sure any
Shenmue 3 promotional material (
by this point even a graphically updated Ryu drinking a can of delicious soda) will have the same effect, but to avoid heartbreak and disappointment we have to wait to see what these games will actually be.
Shenmue III has been well - funded
by fans, but perhaps not to the level of modern blockbusters and so, like The Last Guardian, it may not be looking to compete at that level.
And, once again, we start talking about
Shenmue III
by pontificating on the triumphs of the past, so let's redirect our attention back to the game at hand.
