accidental death and dismemberment policies do not cover injuries or deaths caused
by surgery, mental or physical illness,
drug overdose, bacterial infection, drinking and driving, suicide or attempted suicide, or those suffered while engaged in high risk activities such as skydiving, car racing, or while at war.

accidental needle stick are regarded as lower risk groups than intravenous
drug users, for instance.
Any
accidental death cover is not given to the person when the death is caused
by factors that have a direct or indirect connection to
drug abuse, alcohol, inability to seek or follow any medical advice, indulging in communal riots or war, functional or mental disorder, engaging themselves in heinous pastimes, participating in racing, excluding athletics, etc..
The
Accidental Death benefit is not paid if the death was caused directly or indirectly
by alcohol or
drug abuse, failure to seek or follow medical advice, engaging in racing of any kind excluding athletics and swimming, any kind of war or riots, participation in hazardous pastimes, any mental or functional disorder, etc..
Exclusions: Death or dismemberment from engaging in «extreme» or «high - risk» sports or behaviors (skydiving, drag racing, bungee jumping), infections or illnesses, surgery, and
drug overdose are not covered
by an
accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy.
