We live
in a time when mass
consciousness is being inculcated
by education and media.

Even so, Schleiermacher surrendered very little, and his own
consciousness's appropriation of God's being, «
in relation to us» of course, included and emphasized the traditional attributes of omnipotence, eternity, omnipresence, and omniscience.5 And for him, «immutability» is already contained within the notion of God's eternity.6 Causality within the entire system of nature can be exhaustively accounted for
by God's causal activity.7 Following the lead of Aquinas, Schleiermacher declared that there is no distinction between potential and actual
in God.8
Although, as I believe, concord must of necessity eventually prevail on earth, it can
by our premises only take the form of some sort of tense cohesion pervaded and inspired with the same energies, now become harmonious, which were previously wasted
in bloodshed: unanimity
in search and conquest, sustained among us
by the universal resolve to raise ourselves upwards, all straining shoulder to shoulder, towards ever greater heights of
consciousness and freedom.
The taking of case histories
in the form of listening to stories of faith journeys not only increases the capacity of the pastor to understand and serve the parishioner but also tends to stimulate maturing

by their own admission that it is above and beyond such discipline.
