How the island continent's wooded margins came to be dominated

The idea that these forests are best managed as World heritage
by some bureaucracy based in Paris, which knows little about
eucalypt ecology, is ludicrous.
Further north, the Indigenous lands of Melville and Bathurst Islands in northern Australia, have been devastated
by the clearing and destruction of
eucalypt forests.
We feel lucky to be surrounded
by native Aussie bush,
eucalypt - laden rolling hills, and lovely sweeping views.
