date, this program has led to the acquisition of over 200 works
by 75 artists from the Foundation's collection
by museums including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the High Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Ackland Museum of Art, as well as multiple major
exhibitions and publications.
Walker's career as an artist spans over 50 years - a highlight to
date is the solo
exhibition currently on view at Sikkema Jenkins & Co (New York) curated
by his daughter and gallery artist, Kara Walker.
This
