«Paddington» begins
by chronicling the joyful childhood the title bear (voiced

Two major problems, though: the cops (led
by Guy Pearce) are all over the family's criminal operations, making it tough for them to maneuver, and when Frecheville's most level - headed «
uncle» is assassinated
by rogue cops, the gang is left in the care of crazy
Ben Mendelsohn, a paranoid, dangerously single - minded fugitive.
Sally Field's Aunt May makes scant impression and over-familiarity haunts the «I know I'm not your dad» exchanges between Peter and Martin Sheen's
Uncle Ben, although the repetition is deepened
by Garfield's bubbling emotions and leavened
by Sheen at his warm, witty best as
Ben embarrasses Peter at school.
It starts in darkest Peru, where a young bear (voiced
by Ben Whishaw) has been raised
by his aunt and
uncle (Imelda Staunton and Michael Gambon), who learned about London from a British explorer.
We learn how (but not exactly why) he lost his parents (Campbell Scott and Embeth Davidtz) and see how he came to be raised
by Aunt May (Sally Field) and
Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen).
Peter goes to school to humiliate a bully in a way that — you would think — would get him recruited
by any team in the NBA when
Uncle Ben tries to humble him without saying the words «with great power comes great responsibility.»
The network still needs funding to continue and support their clubs in secondary schools across the UK and with other Trust projects supported
by big names such as Iceland,
Uncle Ben's and Pizza Express, it's an exciting time while the charity explores new relationships.
