I went to a small town in the midwest to work for a non-profit thinking it'd be like chicken - soup - for the soul... INSTEAD it was a fundamentalist nightmare... it was NOT just small town mindedness... I could hardly find a church with out
people wondering — why is this attractive woman in her early 30's unwed (or at least divorced with 3 kids)
people were cold and unfathomable
judgmental and sometimes downright hostile eager to quote scriptures seemingly un-lead
by the Holy Spirit.
We can see that anger is
judgmental in this particular way
by considering what happens to an angry
person when she reckons seriously with her own blameworthiness.
They conveyed to me that I ought not be intimidated
by religious
people who are
judgmental, for their judgmentalism has very little of God in it.
So when a
person says that someone is living in «open rebellion» to their body
by excessively eating unhealthy foods, not exercising and drinking too much (for example), does that make that
person a bigot or

By classifying some sins as less forgivable than others, or some
people as less worthy of our love and acceptance, we have forsaken the Gospel and abandoned the message of life in Jesus Christ, and replaced it with our own unloving,

I know the followers can be
judgmental, and of course many atrocities were caused
by people in the name of Christianity, but I can't imagine what the U.S. or the world would be like without it.
I really hope that
people who are
judgmental take a deeper look within and ask themselves what they are accomplishing
by holding that attitude.
People dating online are very
judgmental and they will judge you
by your picture.
The interesting thing is to see that a.) None provide any credentials proving their methods are better; b.) they don't like the tone of the article — then again, a lot of
people, when all they do is talk among those who only agree with them get offended when they run across someone that isn't in lock step with them; c.) they try to attack me personally, as a «hater», which is totally unfair and
judgmental about someone whom they have never met; d.) can't point to any specific dogs with significant accomplishments that have been clicker trained — hunting, police, obedience, tracking, etc... and just finding a specimen or two isn't very convincing evidence... get enough dogs and sometimes you'll find the genius dog that almost trains itself; e.) there is no point
by point refutation of what I've said, supported
by third party evidence.
7) Compassion (and have we lost it when it comes to
people)-- My wife and I came across a young man who was distraught over the unfortunate death of his dog that got loose and was hit
by a car — and I was saddened to think that of how
judgmental the animal welfare community could be to a man in this situation, instead of sympathizing with him for this loss.
