The new administration
and Congress should take note of the progress made
by the market
and continue to build, not hinder, the
development of our nation's enormous supply of
oil and natural
gas resources, rather than pursue policies that either restrict production or add unnecessary regulatory regimes that limit the use of hydraulic fracturing
and horizontal drilling.
We need an energy policy in California that will sharply reduce the use of fossil fuels
by no longer granting new permits for exploration
and allowing
oil and gas infrastructure
development.

and land disturbance from the latter producing land use - related greenhouse
