This exhibition brings together
works by painters alongside works which have a particularly painterly approach.
I see too many prints
by painters who seem to just try to replicate what they have achieved in painting.
Recently, visiting an
exhibition by a painter friend, I was chatting to the young artist who runs the gallery — which doubles up as his painting studio.
First there was a solo
show by a painter's painter, and then a slice of sour cherry pie from a food - based conceptual artist.
As such, each artwork is varied within the parameters of figurative art made
by painters with females as the subject.
