Although some immigrant Christians
of color descend from
people originally evangelized
by Europeans,
in most cases the faith has been long carried
by indigenous communities.
The substantive problems are basically three: (1) The growing gap between the advanced and newly developing nations
in terms
of levels
of living (food, essentially); (2) The growing gap between
colored and pale skinned
people which is linked with the food problem and exacerbated
by ideological differences; and (3) The ideological garb
in which these problems appear.
It is
by no means clear that this is much
of an achievement, especially when «
people of color» is now but one category
in an endless catalogue
of victimizations and entitlements.
Although I had a personal interest
in listening to other voices, none
of my graduate school courses had required a text
by a woman or
by a
person of color.
By getting used to using these terms, it is said, IRC
persons will get over the insensitivity
of resenting the fact that others hold positions because
of their
color or deficiencies
in English.
While there is agreement
in principle among Christians that all
persons are equal before God, the reality
of racial prejudice, whether based on biology, geography, education, economics,
color, nationality or any other discriminating factor, must be addressed
by the church
in proclaiming its gospel and putting its own house
in order.
For example, native beliefs and practices, which exclude
persons on the basis
of caste, race,
color, and gender, are not reflective
of the presence and activity
of God as revealed

in a way that only Lincoln's Gettysburg image (a government
of,
by, and for the
people) had been previously.
This is the fact that the Church was designed
by God to be inclusive enough to embrace not only the
people of all parts
of the earth, but also
persons of every race,
color, nation, economic or social class, age, sex, culture, language, and station
in life.
They also tell me that
people in the Middle Ages thought the earth was flat (everybody knew it was round), that women
in the Middle Ages were no better than cattle (they had more freedom than they would enjoy until the twentieth century), that
people in the Middle Ages were morose and grim (they were boisterous partiers who loved
color), that they were morbidly fascinated with demons (they portrayed demons as ridiculous stooges), and they were oppressed
by their kings (most
of the kings were weak).
Growing up everyone went to a church or was involved with God
in some way, you sort
of stuck with your own religious group, nobody I knew was gay or queer
in any form (minus one guy that was brave enough to be himself and was constantly bullied for it), the only
people of color I knew personally could be counted on my two hands, and about a third
of them were adopted
by white
people in my church.
Highlights

Various players this season, including Michael Bennett, Malcolm Jenkins, and several Cleveland Browns have sat, kneeled
in prayer or raised their fist during the anthem to protest the unfair treatment
of people of color by the police and the country's systemic injustices.
Statement is baffling and is
in fact the very thing that guys like cap and others are fighting against the truth is Colin didn't orignaly kneel during the anthem he sat on his bench he was then approached
by vets who asked why he was sitting and asked him to do something else because sitting was disprectful it was those army vets who told cap to kneel because it shows your fighting against something and not just sitting to sit they told him it would be a better look and it's funny how
people turn around and say he is disrespecting the very
people who told him what to do and how to do it to get his message across this is the ignorance

The deadly use
of force against
people of color has been a near - weekly occurrence
in America, sparking a decade
of protest, city -
