And now time is ripe to go through all the
runway shows unveiled with a fine - tooth comb to identify the major shades calling the tune and to bring to your attention the 2017 color
trends, using Pantone Color Institute's fashion color report as the base, but also all the other colors utilized
by the fashion houses and designers.
By now, I'm sure you've read that Pantone has dubbed Utra Violet as the color that will dominate — but based on what's been happening on recent
runways and within street style, I predict its lighter sister purple, lavender, will be the biggest 2018 color
trend.
But truth is — and you must know
by now — I work closely with beautiful brands like Chanel, and my job is — like that of a stylist for a magazine — to show you how to wear the
runway in real life, or which
trends to take - away from the new season.
More than any
runway or red carpet, the street style and fashion blogger crowd are
by far the biggest indicators as to whether a
trend is truly primed to take off.
