While many people love an all white kitchen, I've been receiving emails asking to see images of kitchens with wood cabinets and
cabinets painted something other than white.
Not exact matches
I have a tall
cabinet in my workshop that I
painted but after seeing your fish, I want to decoupage
something fun and funky on the front.
There are shelves to be
painted and put back up; the
cabinet under the sink needs to be
painted and the hardware
painted and replaced; and there was a
cabinet above the washing machine that needs to have
something done with it, but I'm not sure I want it back in our little laundry room off the bathroom.
From your recycling bin: • two 2L pop bottles (I used Coke Zero) • mouth was bottle • two shampoo or conditioner bottles (plastic deodorant containers may work too) • round plastic dip or spread container • thin cardboard from cereal boxes or

I have a project I have been working on ALL SUMMER, it's a GARAGE BAR, I have finished all the walls in PALLET WOOD and have found some old used kitchen
cabinets in the trash, I am installing two counter top surfaces on these
cabinets and would like to
paint these with VF products, but I want
something that's going to POP..!!!
Hot mess is right Jessi — I don't mind having freshly
painted cabinets, but that with the tile, counters, backsplash and then the STAGING — my goodness —
something I do approve of, the knobs... so many places in Arizona don't use knobs, handles or pulls.
I usually use Benjamin Moore but was not happy with the last
cabinets I
painted and was looking for
something better.
It is important to have
something that will provide space between the
cabinet door and the surface you are
painting on.

You might love the idea of wallpapering your hallway, or

Other details we had to finalize: — For the
cabinet color, we elected to color - match the white to our existing moulding throughout the house (which is roughly the color of what basic white non-tinted
paint looks like after aging almost 50 years — we've repainted it all but had SW mix us
something to match one of our old louver closet doors since we like the color).
Pinterest had me afraid to

cabinets, but when you are armed with the Nester's mantra «You can't ruin
something you already hate» you go to the store, grab a can of
paint and transform your

And -
something to note about a wax top coat that I (The Purple
Painted Lady) personally loves — is if the
cabinets or coffee table top gets scuffed, let's say by the black rubber bumper around a vacuum for the
cabinet, or a scuff mark from shoes on the coffee table top, or filthy finger prints — just put a little wax on a rag and wipe the scuff off.
My husband is very handy too but when he's not in the mood for
something for the home I respect that, we are both 60 and 61 so there are
somethings that we just can't do anymore such as me laying on the floor
painting underneath the
cabinets!

I totally recommend
something with thick coverage, like a
paint and primer in one... our friends are going to
paint their
cabinets - they have quite a few, and plan on using a
paint sprayer for all of the doors / fronts.
Maybe try
something new to you, like mixing and layering patterns and colors or be more adventurous with a color scheme (and maybe take a risk with
painting your kitchen
cabinets!)
