At Six Senses Douro, where to eat in
port
There are no amenities
at the
port itself but there are toilet facilities and a few
cafes a short walk away
at the resort.
River cruises often spend even longer days in
port, which allow you to take more excursions, linger
at a
cafe, or head out for evening entertainment in town.
The
port has a well - maintained and equipped yacht club and many restaurants to suit the yachting set, but it's also still a working fishing
port where you can sit outside
at one of the many
cafes and bars and watch life pass by.
You can reach it only by boat (about 3 hours from Athens) and when you anchor
at the tiny
port of Dapia you'll see whitewashed houses, local
cafes and shops and narrow alley ways that are just calling out to be explored.
