Dwarf hamsters are best housed in a glass aquarium, as most
wire cages designed for hamsters are not escape - proof due to the large spaces between the bars (don't buy a
cage with more than 1 cm of spaces between the bars).
Many
cages meant for rabbits are still made
with wire floors over pull out pans,
designed to make cleaning easier.
We do not recommend using aquariums
with wire lid toppers, as there are multiple issues
with the
design of the
cage that makes them a poor choice for rats.

cage and foil of no more than two champagne bottles, glue being the only permitted adhesive.
