Sandra Wong and Crockett Bodelson are a collaborative pair of artists who established
Caldera in Santa Fe in 2011 and later took their collective efforts to New York and bock as SCUBA.
In recent years, she has been inspired by trips to the Meramec Caverns in Missouri and the Kilauea
Caldera in Hawai'i.

The Sierra Negra volcano is one of five volcanos on the island of Isabela, and boasts the second largest volcanic

The Campi Flegrei are similar to the Yellowstone

Unfortunately, no one can say if or when the supereruption will actually occur, because it all depends on how magma swelling 3 km below the surface of the central
caldera will behave
in the coming decades.
But we do know that if an eruption does occur, it will affect the 360,000 people living across the
caldera, and the nearly 1 million people living
in Naples proper.
So, the study researchers decided to analyze quartz crystals at the site of one of these massive eruptions that erupted
in California about 760,000 years ago, creating the Long Valley
Caldera.
The last occasion of such behaviour occurred during the century before the
caldera's only historical eruption
in 1538 (refs 2, 6).
Unrest at large
calderas rarely ends
in eruption, encouraging vulnerable communities to perceive emergency warnings of volcanic activity as false alarms.
The current unrest is consistent with a reactivation of the magmatic system after 412 years and, hence, with an increase
in the threat from volcanic activity to the
caldera's population of almost 360,000 people, as well as to the three million residents of Naples immediately outside its eastern margin.
Although the agency effort ensures visitors will find healthy options, it has remained true to visitors who enjoy its «iconic and unique» and sought - out menu items from classic fried chicken at the entrance to Mammoth Cave
