13 Hans Asperger, an Austrian pediatrician, identified what is now
called Asperger's syndrome: a form of autism marked by intense absorption in a very narrow range of special interests.
Horrific details of his involvement were revealed yesterday in the journal Molecular Autism and will be detailed in a forthcoming book
called Asperger's Children: The Origins of Autism in Nazi Vienna.
