To engage with such a powerful system in ways other than what I have
called creative transformation strategies and through media reform, is doomed to be capitulation, not communication.
If the church in the sixteenth century had only recognized that the communication revolution surrounding it
called for a
transformation, church leaders would have found within its ranks
creative and energetic people eager to help the church find its way through the
transformation.
