This organism has two nuclei and eight flagella, and can cause a persistent diarrheal disease
called giardiasis (colloquially known as «beaver fever»).
The conditions they cause are
called giardiasis, amebiasis (sometimes referred to as amoebic dysentery), and cryptosporidiosis.
