I think Terje actually is something of an example of what Michael was referring to in
calling for another category: the habit of responding to points where the «
skeptics» are obviously wrong by admitting that on this point they're wrong, but there are other «chinks in the data,» and a «problematic culture,» (no specific examples given) which make the theory of
global warming somehow not to be acted on.
When Channel 4 ran one single show (
called the «
Global Warming Swindle») which outlined parts of the
skeptics» position, 37 scientists attempted to have it suppressed by the government.
Unfortunately, most of those who
call themselves
skeptics, espcially those who blather on and on about the end of
global warming while swallowing the most ludicrous ideas hook line and sinker, would be better described as fake
skeptics.
Which is exactly the stance that some so -

skeptics» take towards anthropogenic
