I prefer coconut milk if I'm going the nondairy route and Whole Foods sells an excellent unsweetened kind thats almost the same amount of
calories as almond milk.

Just wanted to share that BananaWave, the newest plant
milk (like
almond or rice
milk but made with bananas instead) also works here, and also allows you to skip the added sweeteners (to the commentor who was worried about sweetening /
calories)
as it is pretty sweet by itself.
