Having the songs locked in a boring campaign and the inclusion of long loading screens really took a lot of the fun away.

Add dreadfully long loading screens, combined with the campaign, and you have some elements that somewhat take away from the experience.

I clocked the loading screen after selecting «continue campaign» at a little over three and half minutes!

Fixed an issue where the game would sometimes get stuck in the loading screen while loading the campaign.

However once you complete the campaign you will be free to speed across the open world of America with no loading screens to interrupt.

The only time you'll see a loading screen is when the game first boots up, in between campaign acts, and starting online games.

The Crew as seen in its publicity trailers and such, seems to offer a persistent open world experience for racing fans, with 8 - person online multiplayer, smooth transitions through each area (apparently there will be no loading screens) and a 20 hour campaign.
