I set this candle holder upside down on top of
a candle jar so that I could rotate it by turning the candle jar and then leave it there to dry.

I use canning
jars for
so many things: canning (of course), storing dry goods, drinking from, making butter, lotion / soap dispensers, homemade soy
candles, the list is endless!
So while a regular
jar of supermarket honey might not make a great gift, a sampler pack of these artisan honeys or even beeswax
candles now make for an interesting present.
As drinking glasses, food storage, vases,
candle holders, for canning, salad in a
jar, and
so much more... mason
jars can replace
so many other kitchen containers.

I also love mixing unexpected elements,
so we chose a stunning church venue with crisp white walls, stunning chandeliers and shiny dark timber floors... then added a grass aisle topped with these gently scattered rose petals from Simply Rose Petals, gold mason
jars filled with fresh cut flowers lined the aisle and the warm glow of
candles flickered from the fireplace at the centre of the room.
And, it killed me to toss these glass
jars so I figured out how to upcycle glass
candle jars.
As a new generation discovers the wonder of this versatile glass container, we now see and are reminded that Mason
jars can serve as food storage (short term or long term), drinking glasses, travel mugs, cocktail shakers, soap pumps,
candle holders, flower vases, piggy banks, fermentation / pickling containers, organizational tools, crafts / home decor, and
so much more!
So I grabbed a few Mason
jars (you can find them on eBay) from my stash and will give a brief DIY of how to make the easiest «
candle» ever...
So many things for a housewarming gift... * a basket full of homemade cleaners *
candles * handtowels and soap * kitchen towels and lotion * homemade bread w / jam along with the recipe * cookie mix in a
jar along with some cookie cutter or a cookie sheet Whatever you come up with I am sure it will be great!
I only use the smaller, like maybe 1 or two inch
candles so they can't melt to the side of the
jar.
Inside, drape white sheets over the furniture, string cobwebs wherever seems spookiest, adjust your framed pictures
so they're crooked, put LED
candles in red
jars (check eBay) all around the room and find an MP3 of creepy sounds.
So after I filled the
jar with water, I added some silk leaves and then floated the
candles on top.
Even a simple mason
jar can look
so pretty as a vase or
candle holder.
I am always struggling with keeping the cotton buds (or Q tips as some of you may call them) nice and neat on my dressing table without having an ugly plastic box there,
so I decided to beautify this little glass
candle jar and make it into a lovely cotton bud holder!
