I haven't cooked with
capers for a long time.
I made chicken piccata one time and I needed
capers for that so that was the second time I had them but first time I cooked with them.
I love topping mine with cream cheese, lox and
capers for breakfast or an easy lunch.
If you have these things, then by all means use them, I subbed
capers for the briny - salty taste.
I've been making this quasi mayo and adding mustard dressing for chopped salads, adding whatever seems needed such as pickle,
capers for added brightness.
Although I like capers, I had some other ingredients I needed to use up and so I once substituted

As per usual, I waited until the last minute to go grocery shopping
for the ingredients, so I was unable to find brined green olives or preserved lemons at the last minute, but I substituted regular canned green olives and
capers (per one of these comment's suggestions).
I'm a bit of a traditionalist with tomatoes usually, but
for a special summer gathering, I will take a thin french loaf, slice and grill it into little toasts, put a slice of Roma tomato, Basil leaf (purple if you have it) a thin slice of melting cheese (mozzarella is my fav), pop into the toaster oven or broiler util browned, then top with some flaked tuna in a wasabi dressing with
capers and fine dices of onion and celery.

Traditional preparation also calls
for anchovies paste but I have kept this pasta vegan and have used salty
capers to add that brine - y flavor.
When the peppers are just about done, season them with salt and pepper and, if using, mix in the
capers and / or olives, then let the peppers sauté

The
capers add the briny element I was looking
for in the sauce, but also add a kick — a perfect punch in the mouth to complement the pungent garlic and smooth tahini.
Same with the
capers — I love the briny and salty taste of
capers (even better when they're dried and lightly pan fried
for a nutty taste) and find that they add a deeper element of flavor to this creamy tomato chicken pasta, but these are also optional.
To make, simply combine all ingredients from the second list (tomato sauce, olives,
capers, basil, and salt & pepper) into a saucepan and let it simmer
for 15 + minutes while you're preparing the fritters.
Then add the
capers, olives, and pine nuts, and cook
for another 5 minutes.
STIR together parsley, oil, vinegar,
capers, anchovy paste, and garlic

These salmon sliders are served with a
caper lemon aioli to be perfect light bites
for summer with chives and dill.
I also added some white miso to the dressing
for extra salty flavour and I fried my
capers (as that's the only way I like them!)

for capers yesterday and only found them in jars.
Fava is the Greek word
for bean puree, almost exclusively made with yellow split peas — here it's served with grilled squid, but the simplest and most traditional is raw onion, olive oil and lemon juice; in Santorini it is topped with stewed
capers and onions, a combination referred to as «married» fava in Greek.
I added
capers to this recipe
for some extra flavour and it was delicious.
Stir in the mustard,
capers and parsley, reserving a little parsley
for sprinkling over top.

for bucatini alla pizzaiola you'll find call
for olives and / or
capers in the sauce, which sounds like a nice option to me.
I'd never think to add
capers but the briney bite sounds perfect
for a potato salad.
