Along with supermarkets,
cars and
car culture begat a
whole new range of places where a person could buy a cup of coffee; gas stations, roadside snack bars, diners, motels, and campgrounds all introduced the now normal practice of offering coffee, sometimes for sale and sometimes
as part of a larger purchase in all sorts of places.
