Just
look at Nico Hulkenberg doing Le Mans, Sebastien Loeb going from rallying to touring
cars, or Fernando Alonso
racing whatever he can get his hands on.
It didn't
look promising in the immediate moments following the tyre change, the Brit losing the
car in a puddle at turn three, but as the
race went on and a dry line developed, it was clear that Button was in the best position.
The whole front end of the
car was severely damaged and it
looked like a lost cause but somehow Toyota repaired the
car and got the No. 7 back out to finish the
race, albeit 38 laps down.
In the closing stages of the
race Whincup
looked in prime position - he was leading, whilst McLaughlin was hit with penalties for speeding in the pitlane and contact with another
car, dropping him right down the order - surely a set - up for a classic finale if ever there was one!
Now right throughout his
racing career Webber wasn't exactly known for being blessed with the best luck, and towards the end of the final
race in Bahrain, it
looked all set for him to finally win a championship... but then the
car developed multiple problems.
If you can get past the slightly unusual
looking cars you'll be treated to unpredictable
racing around a good mixture of road courses, street tracks and ovals.
The
cars are good -
looking, the locations are exotic and in the hub of the city centres, and the worldwide audience for the sport is growing

On the back - stretch, as the
cars burbled along slowly on the pace lap, Earnhardt
looked over and saw Yarborough
