Thankfully, there are tons of lower
carb bread options out there!
I'm always in the market for a good low -
carb bread option, especially if it's packed with seedy nutrients.
I'm not 100 % convinced of the health value of peanuts but it would be a gluten - free, low -
carb bread option.
Not exact matches
I decided to be traditional and scoop it up with some whole wheat Naan
bread, but it would also be good over rice or in lettuce cups for a low
carb option (see below).
High - protein & high -
carb snacks are the best
option: almonds, pretzels,
bread, crackers, etc..
Another
option is to use it as a spread on a few small slices of whole - grain
bread for a well - balanced mix of protein and complex
carbs.
But with typical lunch
options filled with
carb - heavy entries like pasta, potatoes and
bread, finding a hearty meal that's low in carbohydrates can often be challenging.
In the end, if you can manage your weight well with a low -
carb diet and do not seem to miss
carb - laden foods (for example,
bread, rice, and pasta), this diet may be a sensible
option for you.
Adding healthy
carb options such as oatmeal, wholemeal
bread, brown rice and sweet potato to your high - protein meals lets you do this without causing blood sugar crashes or harsh cravings.
Paleo — high in protein, high fat, no grains, emphasis on
carb substitutes like coconut flour
breads, etc — has so many great elements — eating all whole, real food — love all the gluten free baking
options!
