content of this product without actually adding more meat.
You can get a fair idea of
carbohydrate content by simply subtracting all the
listed percentages on the label from 100 %.
Few dog food labels
list the food's
carbohydrate content (it's not legally required to be on the label).
Also, it is not required to
list the
carbohydrate content.
AAFCO does not
list any requirements for
carbohydrates simply because it is suspected that dogs have no need for
carbohydrates, yet most dry foods contain around 45 % of their calorie
content from
carbohydrate.
