There is some good news, which is that a growing group of countries — both developed and developing — are determined to increase the pace at which the negotiations move, and the ambition of the resulting
carbon emissions mitigation.

Most studies I have seen show that money spent on
mitigation is much more cost effective than money spent reducing
carbon emissions, because the latter is a worldwide problem.
The committee said it would be «irrational and irresponsible» to implement sustained albedo modification without also pursuing
emissions mitigation,
carbon dioxide removal, or both.
Participants reaffirmed that the risks posed by ongoing climate change require a strong commitment to
mitigation of greenhouse gas
emissions, adaptation to unavoidable climate change, and development of low -

Given the depth of decarbonisation required for a low -

Prognostic models of terrestrial
carbon cycle and terrestrial ecosystem processes are central for any consideration of the effects of environmental change and analysis of
mitigation strategies; moreover, these demands will become even more significant as countries begin to adopt
carbon emission targets.
The accurate monitoring and reporting of
carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases is essential for countries participating in climate
mitigation schemes, such as reduced
