And you'd think they were right since dieting includes an enormous list of things to do like counting daily calories, lowering
carb intake, avoiding white wheat, reducing fat intake, drinking lemon juice in the morning, writing in a nutrition
diary about everything you've eaten that day, eating more vegetables, drinking a lot of water, slowly chewing your
food, taking fat burner supplements, eating lots of bacon if you're on a Keto diet (come to think of it, that's not that bad), trying all sorts of natural weight - loss
foods, sometimes even eating raw
foods and the list goes on and on.
Keep a
food diary to track what you eat and use a program like FitDay.com to give you an accurate idea of how much protein, fat and
carbs you are actually eating.
We would tell people to go Low
Carb and find
food diaries full of whole wheat bread and plates of pasta.
I actually didn't know about any research on any of this, I just listened to my body and I noticed that when I ate a lot of
carbs I was bloated and tired and so I stopped gluten and also
diary altogether and started putting together
foods that felt right... I didn't realise till a couple of years ago when I was doing a nutrition course that my diet was very low
carb and high fat, which according to the course I was doing was not good for my health — which did confuse me as I had never felt better in my life.
I decided last night that I will cut out all processed
food,
diary and sugar - but will need
carbs like rice and roti (indian bread) sometimes as I don't eat meat.

As long as you avoid starchy
carbs and sugary drinks most of the time, reduce serving sizes when you do indulge, and always eat
carb «blockers» like vegetables and / or fatty
foods first, you don't need lists,
carb counting or even a detailed
food diary to be successful.
This is an effective way to lose weight and it really is pretty simple, just read the labels of any packaged
foods, consult a low
carb food list and record what you eat in a daily
food diary.
Start at the beginning again and look at what you are eating, are you keeping to your calories, are you eating enough protein,
carbs etc do you still keep a
food diary / journal.
An elimination diet is cutting out, perhaps slowly, one by one so you don't have a lot of withdrawal symptoms, cutting out coffee, cutting out alcohol, cutting out fried
foods, and then you cut out meat, and then you cut out oils, and then you cut out
carbs, and then you cut out cooked vegetables and you get down to the point where you are just eating raw and you see how you feel, and you keep a
diary during that time.
