Not exact matches
As I mentioned last month, I picked up the business version of this
card during my April
application cycle, and I'll get the personal
card in January, once 12 months have passed since I canceled my last
card, if there's still a lucrative enough signup bonus.
Last June I wrote about my personal finance
application cycle, in which I applied for a Chase Slate and Citi Double Cash credit
card in order to run up high balances and use the resulting negative - interest - rate loans to finance other projects.
But in order to make that comparison, you first need to have a 2 % cash back
card, which is why I decided to apply for it as the fifth
card of this
application cycle.
I always pay off all my credit
cards before an
application cycle, so that credit issuers see as low a «credit utilization» as possible on my report.
That's why my priority during this
application cycle is to get a few
cards that I can use to consistently manufacture large numbers of hotel points — hopefully also with a lucrative signup bonus.
In fact, I applied for six
cards in that
application cycle, and my score didn't go down at all.
I think they can easily take on the 40K offer in addition to several other credit
cards as part of a regular
application cycle.
In other words this
card is roughly comparable to the Citi ThankYou Preferred offer that's expiring for me, and I plan on applying for this
card later today (after I decide on some additional
cards for this impromptu
application cycle).
