I could make a laundry list of what I would like the second time around with a singleton rather than
twins (breastfeeding, not premature, no bed rest, no pre-term labor scares, regular number of doctor's appts, no develo [pmental delays, cheaper, EVERYTHING), but my problem with having my victory
baby is there is no way I want a newborn again while also
caring for my
twins (currently 2.5).
Line up help
for your newborn
twins and be sure you have arranged
for a pediatrician so that you can get good medical
care for you
babies when you need it.

The hospital should have a nursery equipped to
care for premature
babies, since many
twins are born a little bit early.
In a pregnancy with
twins or multiple
babies, the goals of
care are to prevent very premature delivery, identify and deliver any
babies that are failing to thrive in the womb, eliminate trauma to the
babies during labour and delivery, and provide expert
care for the newborn
babies.
