Early entry and other acceleration options in
the case of gifted children have been shown to be beneficial.
In
the case of gifted children early entry is often the only option they have to an appropriate education.
The following two individual
cases of gifted children illustrate the approaches taken by the Chicago Gifted Program personnel to meet the needs of individual gifted students who might otherwise be lost in a large system.
Not exact matches
In most
cases, parents
of gifted kids recognize that their
children are a little different from their
children's age mates.

of cases, however, the
children's teachers have remained unaware
of their extraordinary intellectual potential or, where psychometric evidence

gift box by coming to their therapy sessions or in the worse
case scenario, the
gift itself may remind
children who have been violated
of their abuser who
gifted them in order to do something «special».
