It used to be the
case where 20 scientists looking
at a theory, without there yet being any measure of proof / disproof, would say just that: «We don't know» Nowadays, if 19 of those scientists said, «We think / believe the theory is true» and the remaining one said either, «I don't think / believe the theory is true», or, «I just don't know», the executive
