I'm hoping to try out the Singapore Airlines all - premium cabin Airbus A350 - 900ULR when it comes into service in 2018/2019 and, as I'm unlikely to want to (or be in a position to) part with the amount of

Business Class cash fare on the Dreamliner would have cost me at least AU$ 828 an award was far cheaper — I booked a
Business Class seat for 9,000 Avios and $ 13.95 (~ $ AU17.35):
For transatlantic
Business Class I'll look to book an award on American Airlines, Air France or Iberia and, if those aren't available I'll turn my attention to

Class).
As things stand
cash fares aren't looking too tempting for
Business Class — $ 2,964 R / T from Helsinki and an eye - watering $ 6,500 R / T from JFK — I'll keep an eye open for a
fare sale and keep you posted.
The
Business Class deals aren't that impressive as, if you double up the costs to get the price for a roundtrip, the final cost of the awards isn't too dissimilar to a lot of
Business Class cash fares offered by airlines when the sales are on — and with
cash fares you often have a greater choice of dates and you earn miles as well.
Finding
Business Class cash fares to Europe for under $ 3,000 is not difficult at all so why would you buy miles to book this
fare?
