casting technique in
glass sculpture comes two distinct bodies of
work in Peter Bremers» abstract style that express his exploration of human existence, from the perspective of the individual's perception of the world as well as an observation of our collective power as a group of individuals.
He learned
glass blowing, torch
working, and
casting glass under Rick Schneider, Emilio Santini, and Jack Wax.
In these
works Williams revels in a range of different materials: perspex for windows,
cast jesmonite for bricks, various veneers and acetates for wooden and
glass structures, and even embroidered cross-stitch skies, all of which underline and celebrate the loving attention to detail and materials used in the originals.
