Even as I was working on this post, somebody alerted me, via the Vox Felina Facebook
page, to an opinion piece in the London Free Press (in which «expert» Theo Hofmann comes up short on both
facts and logic: «

It seems to me that any rational scientist would pick «A» to complete the syllogism, but Marzluff pretty clearly agrees with «B.» In
fact, on
page 85 of the book he says that
cat predation on birds is «horrifying.»
