cedar garland from Home Depot... they were too pretty to resist!

I also enjoy hanging
garland on the fireplace mantel using branches
from local ever green
cedar trees mixed with branches of firethorn.
This 18 ft fresh
cedar garland is
from Lynch Creek Farm and I split it up to use on all three of my banisters.
From vases with pine cones and
cedar, to
cedar garland around the chandelier, to a beautiful arrangement of
cedar, cotton branches, and gold branches all lit up in the bathroom,
cedar is definitely my favourite go - to for traditional Christmas decor.
For added color, I used sprigs of
cedar I had left over
from making the fresh
garland for the front gate (which you can see here).
I hung a pre-lit faux
garland on the front of the mantel, but I added in faux
cedar stems for texture, and also some real clippings
from the bottom of our live balsam fir tree.
