The initiative will see MTN contributing about 200,000 Ghana
cedis annually, towards the surgery and treatment with children living with hole in heart.
The fund has so far accrued almost $ 300 million, and some civil society groups have projected it will cost government an estimated 3.5 billion Ghana
cedis annually to implement the policy.
However, what has caused controversy is that the president would have to pay rent of a mere 10
cedis annually for 99 years for the lease.
