the cellular versions of these devices will make their debuts in mid-November.
So, it may be worthwhile to get
the cellular version of a device, even if you don't use the cellular radio.
Details on this device are sparse at this point (considering it's still early in the product's development), but one source says that the company is working on
a cellular version of the device — not unlike the tried - and - failed, crazily - named LG Watch Urbane 2nd gen. LTE.
If you prefer to get it through Verizon,
the cellular version of the device is now available both in - store and online, and it's perfect for those that want to bundle it into their data plan.

There were prior concerns that this may not happen due to battery concerns with the
device continuously polling for
cellular network and the like, but Apple appears to have overcome those concerns to produce a
version of the Apple Watch which can access network features and receive and send data independently
of a connected iPhone.
As much independence as the Apple Watch had gained in the last couple
of years, particularly with the
cellular version, it's still a satellite
device to the iPhone.
Specific details have not been revealed, but considering that Android 5.0 Lollipop is arriving as soon as November 3rd, at least for the new Nexus
devices launching in early November, LG might be getting ready for a speedy Lollipop update for its high - end handset — after all, some
of the older Nexus
devices aren't even expected to get Android 5.0 in early November, with
cellular versions of the Nexus 7, the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 4 said to be upgraded by the end
of next month.
That information includes
cellular carrier name, mobile network code, mobile country code, location, language and
version of the
device's operating system.
It's not clear at this time when Google will release Android 5.0 for the Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10 and Google Play Edition

cellular connectivity, including smartphones and LTE tablets.
That said, it's actually impressive the Series 3
cellular version accounted for 13 percent
of global 2017 Apple Watch shipments, with the «regular» Series 3 at 35 percent, while Series 2 and older
devices naturally commanded more than half
of the pie.
Google did not explain why
cellular versions of Nexus
devices need more time to receive the update.
The 3G
versions of the smartwatches can take and make calls, so long as an associated Galaxy
device is powered on and is in contact with a
cellular network.
