This week, a team at the University of York, UK, reached 97.5 per
cent accuracy using a login system that presents users with grids of faces and asks them to pick the ones they know.

use of automated text analysis even promises up to 97 per
cent accuracy thus also showing that rumors aren't shared with the same language as factual stories are.

used these findings to create a new equation, it predicted sweat volume with 95 per

Their research technique of measuring electrical brain activity
using an electroencephalogram (EEG) in these brain regions also predicted mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a condition that is likely to develop into Alzheimer's, with 80 per
cent accuracy.
The sketches of a pair of shoes or piece of furniture, for example, are drawn directly by hand on a touchscreen and recognized
using a sophisticated image retrieval system, where the top 10 retrieval
accuracy is close to 100 per
cent on some object categories so that it always displays the desired product on the first page.
For example, Howard Federoff at Georgetown University in Washington DC, published a paper in March, describing a test that
uses the level of 10 lipids in the blood to identify people who will go on to get Alzheimer's two or three years later with an
accuracy of 96 per
cent.
The researchers also found they could
use the software — called the Reasoning Engine for Interaction Networks (RE: IN)-- to predict with about 70 per
cent accuracy how the cells would respond to genetic changes.
Using the average distance to eight LMC binaries, the team found that the LMC is 162,900 light years away, to a record
accuracy of 2.2 per
