The county council has a successful track record in
school planning, and last year 96 per
cent of Hertfordshire applicants were offered a
place at one
of their four ranked
primary, junior or middle
schools, with 83 per
cent gaining their first preference.
The Local Government Association (LGA) has said it had created an extra 300,000
