of indie authors is run a
promotion that lowers the price
of their eBook to 99
cents so it picks up momentum and gains new readership.
Also, you have to make the featured book free or 99

cents / mile there will definitely be occasions where buying miles in this
promotion and using them to book an award will save you money (possibly even a lot
of money) but the key here is to make sure awards are available before you dive in and buy miles.
Hilton sells HHonors points, outside
of its

cent each (as I really hope no one pays that for them) so depending on what discount you were targeted for this is what you'll be paying per point:

This is close to as cheap we ever see Choice Privileges Points being sold (when there a 50 % bonus available points cost ~ 0.733
cents each and points cost 0.786
cents each in the last
promotion) so, from a numbers point
of view, this looks promising.
If you purchased your full allocation during the Cyber Monday «Best offer
of 2015»
promotion you would have purchased 125,000 miles + a bonus 75,000 miles at around 2
cents / mile so you would only be allowed to purchase a further 25,000 miles during this
promotion (taking you to a total
of 150,000 miles for the year).
The math on last month's
promotion meant that United was effectively selling miles at a cost
of 2.15
cents per mile and, if I though that was bad (which I did!)
Unusually for me I purchased AAdvantage Miles in the December
promotion (at 1.8
cents each) and I did so because I knew I wanted to book a lot
of truly premium seats before the devaluation on 22 March.
