Like before, the
dash drops into a flying buttress of a
center console — a
layout that would crowd knee space were it not for the cabin's generous width.
Its uncluttered dashboard
layout imitates that of the new Mazda 2, and Mazda's iPad - like infotainment display sits on top of the
dash with a mouse - like controller knob on the
center console behind the shifter.
This Honda has most anything you could want in a minivan — a cleverly designed
dash and a
center console with lots of storage cubbies, a versatile
layout with a third row that folds into a storage well in the floor (if only the second row folded the same way), an entertainment system with a 16.2 ″ split screen, navigation, etc..
And so it is with the new Lusso: The cabin is a gorgeous «twin - cockpit»
layout (as an option, the front - seat passenger even gets a personal 8.8 - inch color touchscreen with engine performance gauges and infotainment controls), the armrests are softer than before, noise insulation is vastly improved, the climate - control system is more efficient and 50 percent quieter, and in the
center of the
dash lies a beauteous 10.25 - inch HD touchscreen for easily controlling and displaying everything from navigation to climate controls to Apple CarPlay.
In the end, I didn't find that it helped with the amount of time I took my eyes off the road compared to a
center screen or anything like that, but just look how clean the
dash layout is.
The

center console, front door panels and much of the interior trim are all virtually identical to the Rogue, and the Rogue Sport offers similar front - seat interior space.
Genuine aluminum trim replaces «tinted» interior trim, and the
dash and
center console
layout were revised.

GMC would have done equally well emulating the H - pattern, stubby
dash - mount lever on the Toyota Prius, or the vertical stack of buttons (all push, no pull) on the post-recall Lincoln MKC (the pre-recall
layout being one where a driver often rested his / her thumb on the start - stop button as a bracing point while touching the
center stack display).
New switch gear was added to the
center console, with a slick, simplified button
layout for the climate control system, above which you'll find an 8.0 - inch touchscreen sitting high on the
dash.
The
layout inside is unlike any other BMW, with a heavily raked windscreen, deep
dash, no
center console and the flat floor.
The new
dash also brings forth a simpler
center stack
layout with an eight - inch touchscreen and new controls for the automatic climate control.
A large
center console offers plenty of easy - access storage, the
dash layout features conventional switches and knobs for many of the functions, and the
center touchscreen employs the latest iteration of Ford's Sync infotainment system.
