I was delighted to see the Wizard World Gaming Tour set up on the top
floor of the convention
center, greeting attendees with an electric distraction from the comics and toys down on the
main floor.
So the concept for The Drawing
Center became that Susan would come over the weekend before the live performance and have the gallery to herself and make the largest drawing that she's ever made — a web - like chalk drawing taking up the whole
floor of our
main gallery.
The show opens Friday, September 1 with the Gallery Talk at 4:30 p.m. (on the second
floor) followed by the reception from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the
main halls
of McGufffey Art
Center.

of the exhibition, the Fifth
Floor Resource
Center — a hybrid exhibition, study, and pedagogical space adjacent to the

of modes for understanding and utilizing energies

Walking through Piano's just - completed Whitney building recently, I thought not only
of the Kimbell's travertine stairs, which lead from the east entrance to the
main floor and are washed with soft light from the galleries» vaults, but also
of Kahn's Yale University Art Gallery and Yale
Center for British Art, where natural light illuminates the stairwells, marking important transitional passages in the architecture.
