Similar to the dashboard, the large
central console gets round shaped control buttons with red illumination.

We had a rather short news week this issue due to all the festivities, but thanks to a certain new
console being released last week and it nearly being the season to be jolly, it's been review
central here at Nintendojo, so let's
get right on down to a recap of what we've been playing.
From the former we
get the raised, prominent centre
console layout with its clear physical controls and slightly awkward, backward - set gear selector, while the latter has influenced the wide TFT display that stretches from the driver's instrument panel to the middle of the dashboard, and a set of four
central air vents that echo those of the E-class coupe.
Its interior
gets the dual toned Onyx - Ivory color shade on the dashboard, front
central console as well as on the door panels.
The 4 - door e2o is expected to
get the same interior as the current e2o, with a
central infotainment screen, digital
console, and the «App - Connect» feature which will keep a tab on the electric car's charge status, range and other features.
Apart from a large touchscreen display adorning the
central console, the car also features a square multi-function steering wheel which
gets touchscreen controls instead of traditional buttons.
The
central dash either
gets 7 - or 8.3 - inch screen with a dial on the center
console to control it.
We
get a good look at the Bentayga's main instruments — a pair of circular dials with a
central screen, which is shown displaying both night vision and Sat Nav — a view of a heads - up display and a look at the beautifully finished centre
console with cupholders, gear stick and a rotary dial that has a touch sensitive top for stop - start, and rotary function for Bentley's take on Land Rover's Terrain Response.
If you play «spot the differences» you will notice that the lock / unlock switch on the centre
console is new, and, apart from
central locking, you also
get a remote key.
The dashboard pod holding the LCD screen
gets covered in clear carbon fiber, as is the
central console cover around the controls and the levers behind the steering wheel to operate the gears... even the steering wheel has carbon fiber details... Mansory even altered the design of the original steering wheel.
During launch control — selectable in the
central screen or via a
console button --- a new «torque reserve» system positions the supercharger bypass valve to generate boost and minimize manifold filling time while also cutting fuel to individual cylinders and managing spark timing, all so you can
get that 3.5 - second time.
About the
central console touchscreen we'll say it's «enough,» as in it didn't impress us in any way (
getting around it isn't always intuitive, and the visuals seem a bit outdated) but it performed all the actions without any lag, so at least it won't annoy you.
The instrument panel
gets big
central tachometer, the centre
console gets a metallic frame with carbon fibre interior trim.
The
central console also
gets piano black finish instead of matte black plastics.
The Jeep Wrangler
gets an 8.4 - inch touchscreen infotainment system that crowns the
central console and is flanked by circular AC vents.
The touchscreen in the
central console is a carry over from some of the other models so I won't
get into the functionality.
All the variants
get cup holders on the
central console, 1 litre bottle holders in all doors, and umbrella holder in front doors.
What's more, the A-Class now
gets different driving modes that can be accessed by a shortcut key on the
central console.
A dashboard isn't present either, instead you
get a piece of art with triangular cut sections to reduce weight that flows into a
central console holding only three buttons: one to start the engine, one to
get into reverse and one to put on the lights... that's it.
The four - seater variant
gets a touchscreen integrated into the
central console, which enables the passenger to perform various functions like controlling seat heating, ambient lighting and climate control.
Bagging a TI variant not only
gets you the sport bits, all replete in black and aluminium, new carbon fibre inserts on the
central console and steering wheel may be ordered as optional items to complete the sport theme.
Elsewhere, the cabin
gets dressed up with elegant chrome - plated three - layer treatment or brush black aluminium inserts on the dashboard, on the mouldings and on the
central console.
