object, its reflection of light waves of a
certain length, the transference of these light waves from the
object to the perceptual organs of the observer (in this case, the
eyes), the interaction of the light waves
with the rods and cones of the retina, the transference of nerve impulses along the relevant nerves to the brain, and, finally, the production of the sensation of sight.
