You get to play the Bombchu game, as a kid you have the Stalchildren (which really freaks you at the first time you play), and you need to use the days to help you on
certain sidequests (biggoron sword).
Similar to Suikoden, each citizen that you get to recruit will have a special part in your kingdom and some will require you to do
certain sidequests.

You can also attempt
sidequests during your journey through the open world and the game never restricts you to a
certain path.
- I realize that I do not have to do the
sidequests or anything, but the game really encourages the player to do all of them by locking
certain weapons and story bits behind them (and having some of the better sequences involved, too).
You'll be frequenting the same dungeons quite often, whether its for the next story mission, some new Sealbooks to sell for a quick bit of cash, or the various
sidequests that involve gathering up particular goods or sealing away a
certain number of enemy beasts.
Lightning will pretty much be asked to do simple things like finding someone, collecting a
certain item or defeating an enemy — that's how
sidequests pretty much are in this game.
Now it seems new buildings have been added to
certain towns and cities, presumably to either tie in with the updated plot or to additional
sidequests.
