I'll
certainly run with that — employees may no longer literally carve out a day each week to mess around with stuff, but Google obviously remains committed to
huge investment in its core business, continually ranking & allocating more (or less) resources to products / services which
are often still pre-revenue, margin - free, or even plain old
loss - making... [YouTube
is a prime example — it
is, by far, the largest streaming business globally (over 1 billion users per month), but appears to
be only in the early innings now of generating revenue, let alone margins.
